Tradeshow Areas

Although many small and local locations exist, most of the tradeshows that are interesting for an international public are located in the Tokyo/Yokohama area or in Osaka.

Tokyo/Yokohama

Makuhari Messe is about an hour by train (including transfers) out of Tokyo into the direction of Narita.

Big Sight is rather close to downtown Tokyo, less than half an hour from Shibuya and Shinbashi.

Yokohama Pacifico is in the Minato-Mirai district, close to downtown Yokohama. This site has less famous shows, but it is better suited for tradeshow/congress combinations.

Osaka

Intex Osaka is the main site for Western Japan. It is about half an hour out of downtown Osaka.

Locaties voor Handelsbeurzen

Alhoewel er vele kleine en regionale locaties bestaan, worden de meeste handelsbeurzen die een internationaal publiek aanspreken, gehouden in de omgeving van Tokio/Yokohama of Osaka.

Tokio/Yokohama

Makuhari Messe is ongeveer een uur per trein (overstappen inbegrepen) buiten Tokio, in de richting van de luchthaven van Narita.

Big Sight is dichter bij het centrum van Tokio, op minder dan een half uur van Shibuya en Shinbashi.

This site is located in a rather inconvenient place, just over half an hour by commuter train to the northwest of Tokyo (JR Keiyo Line - Kaihin Makuhari station).

Deze zone ligt op een erg ongemakkelijke plaats, iets meer dan een half uur per trein ten noordoosten van Tokio (JR Keiyo Line).

There are good hotels nearby, but one should be careful about entertaining Japanese customers in the neighborhood as the commute home is very far for most people.

As crowd control is rather easy to implement, this location is used for shows that attract a vast number of visitors, such as the Tokyo Auto Salon and the Tokyo International Boat Show.

Tokyo Big Sight

This is the newest trade show area, close to downtown Tokyo. It can be easily reached from Shinbashi by the Yurikamome Line or from Shinkiba and Osaki or Shibuya by the Rinkai Line. There is a Limousine bus service to both Narita airport and Haneda airport.

Tokyo Big Sight

Dit is de nieuwste handelsbeurszone, dichtbij het centrum van Tokio. Big Sight is gemakkelijk bereikbaar vanuit Shinbashi of Toyosu met de Yurikamome lijn en vanuit Shinkiba of Osaki en Shibuya met de Rinkai lijn. Er is een Limousine Bus service naar zowel de luchthaven van Haneda als de luchthaven van Narita.

Hotels are available close by or in Shinbashi and Shibuya/Shinjuku. These last locations are very attractive and convenient for entertaining customers.

Yokohama Pacifico

This site is significantly less important the other two in the Tokyo area. It caters more towards symposiums than to real trade shows.
Its development is part of the Yokohama project to revive the Minato-mirai area.

Hotels are conveniently nearby and Yokohama Chinatown offers a good opportunity for customer entertainment.

Deze locatie is beduidend minder belangrijk dan de twee andere in de omgeving van Tokio en is vooral gefocusseerd op het organiseren van symposiums eerder dan gewone handelsbeurzen.
De ontwikkeling van deze site paste in het kader van het renovatieproject van de Minato-mirai area.

Er zijn vele hotels in de onmiddellijke nabijheid en Yokohama Chinatown biedt een goede gelegenheid om klanten mee uit te nemen.
